I have to vent!

My apologies to those that are reading this, but I have to vent! Now I want to make it known that this is NOT directed at anyone in particular but at a large group of people, so please dont take offense if you think its you because it probably isnt you. I want to ask, what does "sustaining" mean to you? Well to me, it has a lot of definitions. A few would be:
1. To keep in existence; maintain.
2. To supply with necessities or nourishment; provide for.
3. To support; keep from falling.
4. To support by participating.
So now I ask you the question, why in the world do people not participate in those activities that are FOR them? I only bring this up is because I know a few individuals including myself who have callings (in different capacities) who hardly ever get members out to their activities. If you dont come to these activities then why did you sustain those individuals? Why do we have these activities? Now I know everyone is busy, but your not too busy to take an hour out of your life to participate in an activity-in return your supporting those that put on those activities. I guess I just dont get it-you think I would because I am busy. I have school a few days a week, more than a full time job that depands everything out of me, basketball, a family, friends and not to mention dating! So please dont tell me that it's because "I'm too busy," I'M BUSY-WERE ALL BUSY. Sorry, I cant buy that line that your busy. I cant think of any other reasons/excuses that people could or do use because it isnt that hard to take an hour or even two to participate and support those activities that are for you and for you to get away from those worldly daily tasks. Maybe someone can help me understand this but I guess until then, I'll never understand why people dont come out to the numerous church activities.
